This shot encompasses years' worth of planning and preparation for me. I have been trying to find a spot from which I could shoot the Wai`anae Mountains unabated. After several scouting missions that all ended in disappointment, I realized the location I need to shoot from, and just had to wait for the next full moon. Luckily, this all came together within one week, and I was able to capture this in the middle of the night! That glow at the top is the military weather station.
