What luck! A single scarlet macaw sitting in a tree within view! Unfortunately, this bird was a former pet and its wings had been clipped, so flying wasn't really an option. It was kind enough to model for me and give me the emotional content I was looking for in a photo: a lonely bird, unable to fly and explore the forest, gazing, longing for an escape back to the life taken from it. Honestly makes me sad....
